Our Team

Who are we?

DereKare is a team of 10–20 carefully selected caregivers united by shared values and a sense of purpose. We have a lot in common, but our differences make us great: we are rich and poor, white and Black and tan, young and not-so-much, big and small. Above all that, we are good people who care.

What are our credentials?

Many caregivers have formal licenses or certifications such as CNA, LPN, or RN, but plenty have no such credentials. Several people had zero care experience when they started at DereKare. Ability and character matter much more than credentials. It’s easy to train a great person to be a great caregiver, and we’re willing to do that work.

Why no selfies?

We believe a person’s character and personality matter most. Our hiring process is blind up to the final interview, and the results speak for themselves. We take our values to heart, and we take our team’s privacy and safety seriously.
